Recently, a long-standing client of CHI—a world-leading garage door manufacturer—was planning to upgrade its showroom but soon ran into a practical problem: limited space and budget, while the variety of products they wanted to display far exceeded what the space could actually accommodate. This client is an established residential garage door installation company that, relying on our comprehensive product lineup, has built a stable local customer base and captured a significant market share. They wanted to display as comprehensive a range as possible of products in different colors, textures, door types, and building styles. However, if they were to display installed residential garage doors in the traditional manner, the already small showroom would quickly become overcrowded. Even more problematic was the fact that if only a few models were displayed, end customers would have to rely on catalogs and images to guess what the other products would actually look like. This undoubtedly presents a sales dilemma: without physical samples, the more diverse the product range, the more hesitant homeowners become; the more sales staff explain using images, the more homeowners long to see the actual products. Therefore, the core of this challenge is: how to display as many products as possible as efficiently as possible within limited space and budget constraints, while allowing end customers to instantly grasp the differences between products.

This long-standing client immediately thought of us because they knew we had repeatedly helped business partners overcome various challenges. After understanding the client's space constraints, we quickly proposed a sliding door panel display solution. The core concept of this approach is to mount door panel samples on a sliding display rack structure, allowing multiple samples to be arranged in a staggered, sliding-door-like configuration. When a specific model needs to be viewed, it can be easily pulled out or moved aside.
This approach transformed a space that could previously only display a single garage door into one capable of accommodating more door panel exhibits, significantly improving space utilization. More importantly, this display method requires only the display racks and door panels—no hardware, springs, or tracks—saving our long-standing client a significant amount of money. Consequently, the client agreed immediately upon receiving the proposal. We then assisted them in planning the display rack dimensions, exhibit types, panel arrangement order, and rack placement, and also provided the display racks and matching door panels.
Fortunately, the results are outstanding: a variety of styles—including solid-color series, wood-grain series, and different styles, such as louvered door panels and overlay aluminum-clad doors, can all be displayed in this compact space without any obstructions. Upon entering the showroom, homeowners no longer need to imagine the final installation effect from a pile of pictures; instead, they can get a direct sense of it by sliding the display racks—a convenient and efficient process. End customers can view the actual colors of different door panels, feel the surface textures, directly compare stylistic differences, and make decisions based on the exterior of their own homes.

For our long-standing clients, this compact showroom is incredibly convenient: whereas sales staff previously had to repeatedly explain colors and styles, customers can now see, compare, and experience the products for themselves; whereas homeowners might have previously hesitated to place orders due to difficulty choosing without seeing the actual products, they can now quickly form clear preferences. Interestingly, shortly after the showroom opened, this client received a new large order, which was ultimately still produced by us.
This case study once again demonstrates that what CHI provides to its business partners goes beyond mere product manufacturing and order fulfillment. In addition to helping clients build more efficient display solutions, CHI can also assist partners in establishing a more mature product system. Based on a client's sales channels, inventory capacity, target audience, and local residential design trends, we can help them redefine their product hierarchy—for example, identifying which products are best for high-volume sales, which are ideal for increasing average order value, which showcase brand identity, and which are suitable for project-specific custom quotes. Through this strategic product planning, clients no longer passively wait for orders before selecting products; instead, they can proactively establish a clearer product structure, inventory management system, and sales funnel.
Additionally, we provide design support tailored to the end-user sales environment. Focusing on clients’ retail stores, showrooms, quotation scenarios, and brand identity, CHI assists in designing sales-driven display solutions—including images, posters, catalogs, and sample combinations. These design elements do more than simply enhance aesthetics; they help end customers intuitively understand the differences between various configurations, making complex product choices easier to compare, evaluate, and finalize.
All in all, we will continue to leverage our extensive experience, global perspective, and reliable supply capabilities to provide practical business support to more commercial partners. Whether you are garage door wholesale distributors, wholesalers, contractors, builders, installation companies, or retailers, CHI is committed to offering not only exceptional products and consistent delivery but also a long-term partnership solution that addresses your specific challenges and enhances your market competitiveness.
